  1. Why order a guest book from AKD Weddings?

    There's last year's guest book where guests sign their name on plain lined paper. Then there's our new one-of-a-kind guest book that leaves a good impression, entertains your guests, and becomes a cherished heirloom of your wedding throughout your lifetime. We're not just designers, we're story-tellers. Our guestbooks feature fully-editted pictures of you and your fiancee on every page along with your love story. It comes with a custom dust jacket cover and provides plenty of room for your guests to write personalized wedding messages to you. Your guests will love browsing through the entire book while they are waiting in line. Professional, high quality, and affordable.
  2. How soon do I need to order my guest book?

    We recommend you order your guest book as soon as you have a wedding date set. It is best to submit your order at least 21 days before your big day. You can still submit an order with all of your materials up to 10 business days before your big day (it will need to be shipped Express to arrive on time). We can do rush orders (less than 10 business days) for an extra fee. Remember that rush orders may not allow for shipping time.
  3. When will I get my wedding guest book or album?

    When you place an order, you will see the estimated dates.
    Standard shipping takes about 1 to 2 weeks from the date the creation is finalized. Rush orders can also be made.
  4. What pen would you suggest?

    "Archival pens" are available in craft/scrapbook stores, and are awesome for the books. If you want guests to be able to write on the darker pages, too, you can also get the metallic colors like silver and gold. Whatever you choose, make sure it's acid-free and says "archival quality" or the like on it. Other labels like "fast-drying", "non-bleeding", "non-toxic", "permanent" make it even better. We've seen some good ones from Sakura of America, or ZIG Photo Signature pens... Please make sure a loved one write a test message with your pen(s) on one of the pages, which also serves to let guests know you can write directly on the pages! Also, a word of warning: we do not suggest using regular ball-point pens, as they tend to create impressions on the pages when people write too hard, and the ink doesn't always show up.

    For your convenience, you can submit each section at different times. Send us Your Content (photos, song lyrics, text, colors, examples). If you would rather email your photos, send them to weddings AT agentkat DOT com. You will be contacted within 48 hours to confirm your order. You will also receive a proof of your Guest Book or Invitation before it is printed, within 14 days after we receive your materials.
  7. How can I send you my photos?

    1. Email digital photos in the highest resolution (around 300dpi or more) to:

      We will take extra care to make sure your photos are returned to you in the same condition. Please contact us if you would like us to provide this service for more than 5 photos, as it can become time-consuming and require an extra fee.
  8. What tips do you have for a great wedding guest book?

    • Make it a Personal Keepsake. Include Your Song, How You Met, or that Poem he wrote.
    • Send high quality photos or materials as early as possible to avoid Rush fees on processing and shipping.
    • Use the right pen or marker that won't smear or go through pages. Have a loved one test this.
    • If you have very dark pages, try some metallic markers that will write on black paper.
    • Place your guest book where guests can't miss it (usually at the entrance or next to the line).
  9. Which size will I need for my Wedding Guest Book?

    Our Wedding Guest Books come in Large (11x8.5) or Extra Large (13x10), and each comes with 20 pages. The size you choose is really a preference. If you have more content or want more space for guests to write, we recommend Extra Large. Both sizes fit well on the bookshelf and can be displayed on the coffee table.
  10. What if I don't know what to put in my guest book?

    See our Ideas page for things you can use. Once we take a look at your pictures and get to know your personality, likes/dislikes and what is important to you, we can design a guest book that will artistically represent your Love Story.
  11. I don't have my wedding plans finalized, can I still order?

    Yes, please fill in as many details as you can. Once you submit your order, we will put it on file. You can have us send emails to you periodically to remind you about completing your guestbook or invitations.
  12. How many guestbook pages should I order?

    The more guests you have, the more space you need, the more pages you want. It's up to you! This also depends on how many photos you want to include, and how much white space you need. If you are having more than one reception or an open house, we recommend ordering at least a 25-page book.

  13. Do I need to pick-up my guest book or will you deliver?

    Standard Shipping on a Guestbook is FREE! If you would like Express Shipping, we can also ship or deliver your guestbook (please see Prices). You can also pick up your Guest Book or Invitations if you are in the Utah County area.
  14. How can I pay?

    Your book must be paid for before it is sent to print. We offer the following payment methods when you click on "ORDER NOW":

  15. How does your Referral Promotion work?

    Tell all of your friends, family, and anyone who's getting married about us! If they submit an order, they get a chance to answer "How Did You Hear About Us?". Tell them to mention your name, and you'll get 10% off your order! (Four Referral Promotions maximum per household, Not valid with any other offer.)

  17. Why order a wedding album from AKD Weddings?

    Professional, high quality, and affordable. You don't need to use your photographer's template albums, learn how to use design software, or deal with expensive scrapbooking. As professional designers, we take your unorganized photos and make them into a beautiful wedding album made just for you! Our standard wedding albums come with 20 pages in an image-wrapped cover and optional custom dust jacket. All pages are custom designed with your tastes, photos, and story in mind.   18. How many pages should I have for my wedding album?

    This depends on your content (how many photos, words, extras). We will try to fit the amount of photos you want within the number of pages you've ordered. We will only suggest more pages if we feel you would benefit from them, since more photos will fit better if there are more pages. Most wedding albums fit 1-3 photos per page comfortably, but we create special layouts that can fit 18-20 for collages and such. We also showcase your photos in different ways, including spreads where one photo is spread over 2 pages.

    Here are some examples we've done:
    • 1500 photos with special touches (song, story, etc.) - 80 pages
    • 1500 photos with vows - 63 pages
    • 27 photos with text and song - 20 pages
  19. When will my Wedding Album be finished?

    It depends on how many photos, how many pages, and the complexity your book requires. For the highest quality album with customizations for over 40 pages, please allow up to 6 months to finish your wedding album. Usually it takes only 1-3 months to complete. However, we have the 6-month period to give your Wedding Album the attention it needs while fulfilling guest book orders that must be completed before a wedding. This includes time to sort through your photos, edit them for coloration and minor blemishes, organize them into layouts, create those layouts, apply all design elements and effects, implement any copytext, and finish the editorial-approval process. You will be involved every step of the way so that everything is to your satisfaction.
  20. Can I get my Wedding Album done sooner?

    Your wedding album deserves the same special attention and detail that we would give to our own wedding, which takes time. If you need your wedding album sooner, we can cut down on time with the following:
    • Provide us with your photos already sorted in the order you'd like them to appear
    • Order a smaller amount of pages
    • Request an album that includes only photos
    • Request an album with simple layouts
    • Rush your order for a fee (See Prices)
